Devin Systems provides affordable, discharge
and recycling wastewater treatment systems designed
and manufactured for ease of use with a minimum of service requirements.
AutoPure ® is Devin Systems' wash water treatment technology.
FEATURES
The AutoPure ® Model 150DX3 design
offers the following:
- Oil and grease removal to less than 15 ppm.
- Removal of metals, e.g., iron, copper, lead,
chromium, barium, zinc, etc., through chemical precipitation.
- Storage for the accumulation of sediments
until ready for removal and disposal.
- Capacity of about 150 gallons per hour.
- Discharge of effluent.
- No filters to replace or clean.
- No external sump pump is required.
- System is completely automated by using the
latest in computer technology. This results in minimal operator
interaction and the ultimate in reliability.
- System performs self-diagnostic tests and
preventive maintenance checks to alert when and what service is
required.
OVERVIEW
AutoPure ® processes wash water for
discharge or recycling by adding treatment chemicals that convert the
water contaminants into inert sludge. In many oilfield service
applications, this treated sludge is classified as "nonhazardous"
waste. The chemical selection is tailored to the specific
application and is formulated based upon laboratory testing of the dirty
water. The treatment recipe is programmed into the system computer and
can be changed as required for changing water quality.
OPERATION
Dirty water is pumped from the customer's collection sump into the Batch
Processing Tank. The System computer automatically adds special
chemicals, in sequence, to the Batch Processing Tank while mixing the
batch. The chemistry causes the metals, oil, grease and dirt to form
heavy particles that separate from the clean water. The flocculated
batch is then pumped to the first Treated Water Storage Tank where the heavy
particles settle to the bottom and the lighter clean water overflows
from the top of the tank into the second Treated Water Storage Tank.
From this tank the clean effluent can be transferred to an
external tank for storage or discharged directly into the sewer system.
MECHANICAL
The 150DX3 consists of a single skid-mounted
unit with three polyethylene tanks, 9'-6" long, 4'-6" wide and 7' tall. The
150DX3 has one (120g) tank for batch processing and two (300g) tanks for treated
water storage.
OPTIONS
The 150DX3 can be combined with the 900R
Reuse Tank to form a Recycle Treatment System.
The Model PF300 Polishing Filter Unit can be
added to the 150DX3 for removing hydrocarbons that may be residual in the
effluent, if required.
NOTES
The chemical precipitation process
utilized is not designed to accommodate excessive amounts of VOCs.
AutoPure ® can process low concentrations of oil, solvents, hydraulic
fluids, diesel fuels, etc. The optional PF300 Polishing Filter Unit can
be used to reduce these residuals.
It should be noted that some soaps
cause high chemical oxygen demand that is not correctable by the
standard Model 150DX3. Acceptable soaps are available and can be
recommended. The optional PF300 Polishing Filter Unit can be used to
reduce chemical oxygen demand.
